Old Year/ New Year (1 Viewer)

First resolution- start posting to my blog more regularly!! I have loads to say, honestly, but never get round to saying it.

Anyway, thats my pledge formally made.

What a year 2014 was. I remember last January setting my goals to have a 'good' year, with new species, new places, and immersing myself in birding life. Not a twitch- fest, but to maximise my birding.

Well, I think I succeeded. 14 new lifers, my first trip to a seacliff (scary!) my first golden eagle (on the same day I got my first Hen harrier and ring ouzel) and having the confidence to actually set out on my own.

So, for 2015...more of the same? Sounds good. But therein lies the issue- everything was new last year, and now I have to not only match this, but exceed it. Or do I? Is it too much pressure and expectation? How do I top it?

Not to worry...I'll find a way. Bring on the birds!!!!
