Bird news from Hungary, last week of September

Wader migration is in full swing, many Sanderlings, Knots, Bar-tailed Godwits, Red-necked Phalaropes are reported and there are 2 Pectoral Sandpipers and a Red Phalarope present in the south of Hungary.

The regular flock of Scandinavian Lesser White-fronted Geese has arrived to the Hortobágy, the highest count was 33 birds in the flock.

The migration of Pallid Harriers has almost finished only 2 birds were observed, while the first Hen Harriers have arrived.
