Thursday I had the pleasure to meet Doozer, a local birdwatcher.
I “met” him via the forum and he took me on a quick trip to the small Pools of Sharm el Sheikh (the link to the pools shows you Doozer’s and his friend’s web page of Sharm el Sheikh birding areas).
I was stunned by all the birds there, even though Doozer ensured me that there usually are many more.
I met my friends from Hungary, the storks. They were tired and bedraggled, but they were there. Hundreds of them actually.
Many of them die when they are here, but that leaves some room for the Vultures to grow and be fertile, I guess.
I saw eagles, so close I never thought I would get that close.
I can add the glossy Ibis and the little Egret to my birdlist now and many small birdies as well.
You can see all the birdies that I got in front of my lens in my gallery, if you care to hop over.
And here you can find the location on my google map.
