Orphan Redwing Blackbirds... HELP!!! (1 Viewer)

I my chocolate labrador killed a female redwing blackbird as she sat on her nest, also breaking one of the four eggs. Based on the egg's development, it was on day 8 or 9 of 11, maybe more. I put the remaining three eggs in a small incubator I just hatched chicken chicks out of, but I'm not sure what I'll do when they hatch. What should I feed them? I've already called the DNR, vet, wildlife rehab... no one wants them and tells me to do my research. I've found nothing. Any ideas? I only have a few days before they hatch? I've got the incubator at about 99 degrees F, and 70% humidity.

You could feed it dog food but something more natural would be better. What I fed my baby birds (and I have had many in my past!!) are crickets from the local pet store. You can also go outside and find some worms or grubs. Just be careful when giving it water. I have killed one bird by giving it just a little saucer of water and it drowned. I would suggest using a water bottle cap for now until it's older.
