Old Clara Jerry Mahony's Hill (1 Viewer)

I've seen a small bit of the World though little I can show of financial gain
And it's been awhile twenty one years since I last see Clara in the rain
Clara Jerry Mahony's hill that I often climbed years ago
The last time I see him I recall he wore his Winter hat of snow
Twenty one years does seem a long time A quarter of the human life span
The baby back then in his cot is nowadays a virile young man
The salt pans of the Coorong I've seen and I've been where the Yarra flowed brown
Through Melbourne on to the sea far distant from old Millstreet Town
Far distant from old Clara Jerry Mahony's hill and the fields where Finnow waters flow
To meet the Blackwater at Drishane by many a leafy hedgerow
The years are taking toll on me the years taking toll on us all
The present is what matter now though the past we do often recall
In my flights of fancy I hear the babbling song of the rill
In Claramore and Claraghatlea by old Clara Jerry Mahony's hill.
