I went in the morning from Riumar to L'Encanysada lagoon, the largest in Ebro Delta. Some lapwings were in the rice paddies. Later some cattle egret were near of my car.
Dozens of herons were in another paddy, great white egrets, grey herons, little egrets and gulls.
One of the great white egrets and a cattle egret stood near me.
And I finally arrived to L'Encanyssada lagoon.

On December 5th I got to Ebro delta. When I arrived with the car to Deltebre town I saw some cattle egret.
I took the road to the beach of La Marquesa. This great egret stood in the crowd of herons. I had long not seen one of them.
I found a little later a common sandpiper in a irrigation ditch.
Grey herons and little egrets were in every place.
When I arrived Els Bascos in a rice paddy to the left I could see a group of three glossy ibis....

I continued down my road, and a little later there was a new egret. Two moorhens foraged in the riverside. After a while other two moorhens with a couple of mallards. And I began to see many ducks, so far I had seen few, but all mallards
There was little light in the rainy day and the camera was not fast enough for little birds, especially for nervous warblers. A tree sparrow among branches was challenging camera AF.
A couple of females or young chaffinches....

When I was looking for the kingfisher I discovered a grey heron that was upstream.
A small group of seven lesser black headed gulls was over a lock on Manzanares river.
The first from the left looked like a lesser black headed in first winter. The others were adults in winter plumage black-headed.

An Egret was in the leaving of a drain, just ahead of them on the right bank of the river. Sometimes she went to a tree to the left of...

On Monday November 2 at nine and a half I left from Madrid Río Park end to Parque Lineal del Manzanares, its continuation. I saw two Black Redstarts fluttered beside the river, a magpie and a string of cormorants on lampposts of the M30 motorway.
At the end of Madrid Rio, the river again becomes a river, not an ornamental channel: the river has banks again and river banks mean herons, as the first two grey heron I saw.
Some starlings were on a small...
