hadeda bird (1 Viewer)

Hi, I have joined today because I have a concern. For years now I have a resident hadeda couple, Hester and Dozi, The way I identify them is Hester's one foot is damaged, she only has one toe on the one foot, (but walking fine) and Dozi's one wing is a bit lopsided. They have reared a number of chicks over time .
Today however I noticed Hester has a round object around her leg almost as if someone caught her and placed a "identifier" tag around one:cat: leg looks like those around captive eagles legs. Does anyone know of anything happening in the Krugersdorp north area, perhaps a group of people tagging these birds to track them. I am very concerned. the tag does look as if it is not troubling her but it still concerns me that someone or some group are perhaps targeting these birds any help or info will be appreciated
