This little Beauty was giving me a flight show last Friday on the Golf course.



It took me a while to find him in my books and my gallery.
But I knew I had seen him (and IDed him) before.



It amazes me, how far I did come in identifying...

The other day on another attempted walk with the dogs (it's still too hot and the constant honking quite annoying),back on our compound I saw some tired fellows sitting on the wall:



Thanks to the great fellows here in the forum,I know now that these guys are male Namaqua Doves (Kaptäubchen in German), Oena capensis.

I've never seen them before,nor...

"Caught" my first bee eater (European) yesterday.
Saw him flying by and thought "HUH?!"
Got in the house, grabbed my camera and snuck up on him (her?).

I think this is one beautiful bird. Thanks for showing off for me :)

Birdwatching at the small Pools (Sewers), Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt

Thursday I had the pleasure to meet Doozer, a local birdwatcher.
I “met” him via the forum and he took me on a quick trip to the small Pools of Sharm el Sheikh (the link to the pools shows you Doozer’s and his friend’s web page of Sharm el Sheikh birding areas).



I was stunned by all the birds there, even though Doozer ensured me that there usually are many...
