Big wreck of Leach's Storm-petrels (1 Viewer)

23, 24, 25 December, 2009.
1000's involved, dead & dying birds on the beach with others flying along the coast of Matalascanas, Donana, Spain. Storm thrown birds eaten by cats, Buzzard, Kestrel & LBB Gulls. 1 live bird seen flying over fields 14km inland.
Also beached - Loggerhead Turtle, Dolphin sp., Gannet, Razorbill, Kittiwake and Sabines Gull.
(after 3 days of gales & torrential rain from the west).
