Nature's Beauty Being Destroyed

Posted Saturday 8th May 2010 at 00:49 by Francis Duggan
They know little of life and even less of Nature though they have what matters most
And that is heaps of money something worthy of a boast
For money speaks every language as some are known to say
That's how it is and will remain in the World of today.

Mature trees to them are just trees for development for to be cut down
For to build another industrial estate in the outskirts of the town
In their greed for money if wildlife they dispossess they do...

Beyond The Hill

Posted Saturday 8th May 2010 at 00:45 by Francis Duggan
Beyond the hill in a town far away
Magpie is piping in the dawn of day
On the quiet streets of the old country town
In the gray dawn few cars pass up and down

Beyond the hill in a quiet town park

Posted Saturday 8th May 2010 at 00:39 by Francis Duggan
With her very sore right foot one could not help but feel sorry for the poor little thing
How will she cope at her breeding time in the early Spring
Building her cup shaped nest of mud on fork of branch of tree
And her partner too lame though not as lame as she

Is but the task of nest building for them in their state
Of visible impairment for them might prove too great
Since they may not be able to defend a challenge from their own kind in their...

The Great Goddess Of Nature

Posted Friday 7th May 2010 at 07:39 by Francis Duggan
The God I love happens to be a she
Her beauty is in every bush and tree
The Goddess of the World the land and sea
The one not destined for mortality

To be immortal one of her claims to fame
The great Goddess of Nature is her name
The Goddess of the World from shore to shore
She has been forever and will live forever more.

She gives to the land in her life giving Spring showers
The beauty of fruit tree blossoms and wildflowers...
