Speed birding in Carpish, Peru

Posted Sunday 11th January 2009 at 04:55 by Birding Peru
Sometimes you just have to make the best of it in spite that you have little time. But if you have a good strategy and good knowledge of your sites, then a too little time will actually make you more focused.

Last week I had the privilage to guide Scott Robinson, Andy Kratter, Bob Holt and Per Lundberg all well recognised ornithologists from Florida and Lund Universities. Scott and Andy should be recognised among Peru birders. Scott Robinson was team-mate with Ted Parker when they...

New Bird to Peru. Northern Hawk Owl.

Posted Sunday 4th January 2009 at 19:21 by Birding Peru

The birding has been just fantastic with things like Black-faced Cotinga, Rufous-headed Woodpecker and Peruvian Recurvebill as regular birds. They have 4 lodges along the regular Manu route and in spite of mostly having...

I just saw that Paolo Boute has a blog on Bird Forum. It is a good way to keep track on someone, so if there is anyone out there who wants to keep track on me (except myself of course - who am I fooling?!) - here we go.
I do run a few other blogs in cyberspace. But I am not as diligent blogger as I would like to be. It takes a lot of time to run a birdwatching outfitter in Peru. I rarely have time to write a trip report nowadays. I am not promising to be the most frequent blogger on bird...
