Hide work (1 Viewer)

I am actually writing this blog entry as I sit in my hide in the garden. Luckily my wifi reaches far enough for me to do so.
I am very happy with my setup at the moment. I just wish I had a few more birds to photograph. So far this morning I have only managed to get two shots of a starling. Neither are brilliant. Exposure and focussing are both spot on, but the poses are not great. I am now going to try calling some birds with birdsong.

Well, that didn't work. I have just spent ten minutes calling various birds to no effect whatsoever. I will just to have to carry on the hard way. Just wait. Be patient and trust the feeders to do their work. I have got cold feet, it is time for lunch and I've got neck ache from peering through the scrim netting for so long. Great, isn't it!
The R.A.F. are busy overhead with their jets, making a terrible racket. I wonder if it frightens the birds? It shouldn't do, as the firing ranges are supposed to be very good places for wildlife. Oh, peace at last. Lunch calls. I will put the camera on remote and go in for a while. I'm not actually missing much, but I am actually quite enjoying myself.
