Anna's hummingbird directly above me on a wire, looking not very colorful on a very gray Seattle winter's day.
Location
Seattle
Date taken
February 13, 2021
Scientific name
Calypte anna
I built a roof above my rear entrance to the basement and directly above me as I worked was a hummingbird feeder. Noticed it didn't take the hummingbirds long to get used to me working three feet away from them as they were feeding.

Hunger always wins out ;)

A great overhead of this female Anna's Vingio!

Not sure that's a she; see the dark feathers at the neck? Could be wrong, don't remember thinking about it at the time. Hard to tell because colors seem all washed out because such a dark afternoon.

Oops, didn't mean to post basically same reply twice. Is it possible for me, or someone, to delete either of those and also this one?
