Looks to me like a Cisticola, by the shape of the bill and its general look. Is it from your Sydney area? Should be a Golden-headed Cisticola (Cisticola exilis) then, although it looks to me like a Zitting Cisticola (Cisticola juncidis) but the later is only found in Northern Australia as far as I know.
