52 Dunlin
I started this in March after spending several days sketching in Truro. Its a big work 24x48 inches and although I dont normally spend weeks or months on a painting this is been on and off since then. Not quite finished as there are 3 short to balance the painting but I would like and constructive coments please. cheers

Perfect! Lovely early morning light. I really do love this sort of painting -- so much going on, so much to see.
 
Hi Griff. I like the way you've concentrated the Dunlin along the central third of the painting and the way the upper and lower portions balance each other. I don't know if maybe a single larger bird like a Curlew or something some where in the painting would add or distract? Hope you don't mind my two penneth? Cheers from Steve.
