A clique of Coots (Fulica atra)

Again pretty distant and a big crop, but it's not often I see so many Coots together.

Although Kinnordy and Lintrathen are only a few miles apart, Lintrathen is rather deeper (well usually LOL) and, being a reservoir, doesn't have the bog bean islands and surrounding markshes. Also it is used for fishing so there's often one or two boats out.

LOL! Had to look that one up. Found a web site for names of groups of animals. Apparently the word for a large number of coots is a cover or a raft. But this cover (or raft) does seem to be divided up into cliques ;)
