I didn't realise cardinals were so small, I thought they were much bigger than that LOL.

This variant is smaller than the North American version which is also present in Kauai. These are less flighty than the larger cousin and will often feed right at your feet. It's a neat family shot with I think too older siblings watching the adult feed the younger one ....they are quite intent.
