A Farmland Bunting (Emberiza citrinella)

One of the great things about Whitemore haye in Staffordshire is the abundance of bird species there.

I like to take photo's of birds in their natural habitat and if they present themselves without any kind of assistance from me then thats great.

A few days ago I spent 5 hours watching birds including a hunting Kestrel when this Yellowhammer turned up. It was one of a number in a small roaming group mixing with Reed Buntings, Corn Buntings and Chaffinches. Tree Sparrows were also about.
