A garden first

A garden first (Corvus monedula)

I only see Jackdaws at my local reservoirs, and I've never had close views. I've not seen or heard any locally, and I've never seen any near or in my garden... until today ;)

Poor light and still smeary windows, but it's always good to get a new species visiting the feeders; although I'm hoping it doesn't bring any friends, as the Starlings will have trouble getting to the feeders.

Oh, this looks like a youngster too

Lovely capture of this handsome jackdaw! If he does bring friends, I wouldn't be surprised if they ganged up and chased off the sparrowhawks.

No need to worry about the windows. You've got a great close image now of this new visitor. Super job!
