A Goshawk Takes A Fledgling Robin (Accipiter cooperii)

I was sitting on my deck with a coffee in the summer of 2019 when I heard a huge commotion coming from a Robin Family. A Goshawk had taken their fledgling. Fortunately I had my camera at my elbow as usual. It was sad to watch but who am I to judge nature?

Nature is raw at times but nature nonetheless.

A great behavioral capture you've got here Jim!

Whenever I see something like that I've a mixture of feelings, glad the hawk got his man, but sorry for his prey and their family too.

That's a super picture you've taken Jim - very well done lad.

It's wonderful to see you posting again.
