I went years without any goldfinches, and then a couple of years ago they started to visit the garden. In the past week, a pair has been coming in most days, which pleases me no end.
They're gorgeous! Lucky you! They're rather rare here, and none in my garden so far. Perhaps if I put out thistle seed, they might eventually hear rumors of it.
