A Moment (Grus canadensis)

You ever find yourself saying thank you to the bird? Coming up to a pair of Cranes, with no one in site, in open space. Just a vehicle separating that space. Taking my time, getting out of the car, and using the roof of the car for something stable, without disturbing them. Awesome!!!! This is the Cemetery Lawn at Cravath Lake, you can see the flowers , and some headstones. Full frame, at 213mm
Location
Caravath Lake

Beautiful image of a beautiful bird Brian...You have to give thanks when everything falls into place buddy.

Great shot, Brian, I know what you mean about taking your time etc. although it doesn't always work out as it has for you here. Would love to be able to photograph these birds but living in the UK that's highly unlikely!

breathtaking, and many time when i get so happy and satisfied i leave them and say thanks you and sometime they leave before so i send the a flying kiss.

A beautiful portrait of this great crane, Brian. Wonderful lighting, color and clarity.
