a morning at bosque

the early light at bosque del apache national wildlife reserve is special. as you watch crane after crane taking off you can sort of get lost in the experience. i know i did as i drove off later while leaving my tripod at the crane ponds. fortunately a man from vero beach, florida (just a few miles from sebastian where i spent the winter) turned it in to the staff at the visitors center.

Fantastic flight shot,Richard. Great lighting and perfect exposure.Thats definitely a keeper! Great work

Very beautiful flight shot. ( With a little bit of envy in my trembling voice..)

top class shot. Some folk are unbelievable. I left my equipment by a hide on a reserve and two french guys remained by my equipoment for half an hour till I returned. it meant they couldnt do any birdin'g. if that happened where I live the equipment would have been sold in that time. Thanks guys where ever you are!

I always say that people who are interested in nature are very caring and sensitive people. Am so pleased you got your tripod back and what a stunning photo. The detail is amazing.

Beautiful flight shot. I really like to watch these birds whenever I have a chance.
They look and sound so regal.
