A promise to myself: to Dancy-crawl

A promise to myself: to Dancy-crawl (Pluvialis apricaria)

I'm in a period of keeping promises and it is my own turn now. :-O But still more promises to come! :t:

I had promised to myself to do sometime a proper Dancy-crawling to snap a bird by my nose. The opportunity arrived in the shape of this Golden Plover. An experience unique, not only for being able to get some feather detail that I usually can't get, but for feeling the proximity of this little soul, its eye contact made me melt. o:)

Obviously, I dedicate this to the man himself: Mr. Adrian Dancy!!!

Excellent capture Marian! I love the details in this picture! What a great shot! Well done!)

Now!.....if only I could of taken a photograph of this event!!.......two beautiful little jewels adorning the sea shore, their glossy plumage glowing in the warm sunshine.....the picture would warm the cockles of my heart forever more, and take pride of place above my mantelpiece to light the room with its radiance.
