Adelie Penguin

Adelie Penguin (Pygoscelis adeliae)

Not a great image of the Adelie Penguin, but more an example of the stark contrasting environment they live in. This ice is orangish because krill is their primary food, usually Euphausia superba, although in some areas E. crystallorophias. You can see the layers of krill fecal matter in the ridges of ice, probably illustrating a time line of several generations.
