African Jacana (Actophilornis africanus)

The toes are very long and widely splayed so that the bird can walk on lilies and other floating vegetation. It is also useful for soft muddy bottoms. Note the long hind toe. It is one of two species of jacanas in sub Sahara Africa.
Habitat
Wetland with floating verertation like water lilies hence the big feet to ditribute the weight when it walks on top of the lilies.

This is a cool bird and a sweet shot. I like the fact that the leg is raised and the foot shows. Also great exposure.
