Air Supremacy (Alcedo atthis)

An early morning display by a couple of these birds was a real treat. I only wish their hovering antics were a lot closer. Hopefully for another day :)

Oh Tom,this is spectacular, absolutely divine :clap::clap::clap:
Is it one of your 'wild ' ones?
Fabulous shot :t::t::t:

Thanks everyone :)

Tilly, unfortunately, no, flooding took care of that project, for the time being; but this is still a wild Kingfisher! ;) lol

lLast year I was lucky enough to have four different attempts at this shot, auto focus could not cope and my manual focus wasn't focused, and distance was also an issue. so to see a shot as great as this inspires me for another attempt. All I need now is the right light the right location and the subject. sigh one day maybe great shot tom thanks for posting
