Amazonian Trogon (Trogon ramonianus ramonianus)

Similar to the larger Green-backed Trogon, but with a yellow, not bluish orbital ring. This is a male showing an iridescent violet-blue head. Females are duller with a somewhat different tail pattern and the purple iridescent head color replaced by gray.
