American Black Bear (ursus americanus)

This is the same bear I showed last week. We have a lot of bear traffic here because of the lay of the land. Behind us is the Kittatinny Ridge, very steep and rocky, but directly behind us is a gap in the ridge, and the bears when traveling always take the easiest route. In fact, the lady that use to run the bear program in Jersey said we had the highest bear traffic according to her satellite data.
