Mama with her young. This is the first time I have seen baby coots. They were very hard to get a lone picture of through all of the foliage. These guys sat in a bit of an opening for a second and I got my chance.

At this very early stage in their lives, they really are ugly little buggers, LOL...Super capture Mark, congrats on your newbie buddy.

Fabulous setting and subject material with the parent feeding her young. I like the vegetation in front, it adds to the picture. Superb Mark!!!!!

As to Mali, there is no such thing as "ugly little buggers" in the bird world ;)

This is a heart melting shot Mark and beautifully captured through the reeds.

Congratulations on this sighting. The little ones are so cute and colorful. A great shot!
