American Robin (Turdus migratorius)

Robins are common sights year round but the larger flocks should soon arrive to eat the red berries on the toyon trees. This male and a female are the first arrivals.

A superb bird image, Vicki, but I love this as a lovely composition of lines and colours, with a bird as the focus !!

A beautiful closeup of this male Vicki.

I was out early this a.m. pouring boiling water into the bird baths to melt the ice. Gotta keep our bird friends satiated with their water ;)
