American Robin

American Robin

Went to New York for a holiday, to see the sites like a proper tourist!! Empire State, Statue of Liberty etc...all very busy, noisy and quite hot :)

Last full day there nipped for a walk through Central park and having only managed to see Sparrows and Starlings for most of the holiday, saw (if not photographed!!) quite a few different birds in a short space of time before the tourist mode and shopping over took us again :)

American Robin, first for me, occasionally get them in the UK but never seen one, guess this bird is a 'youngster' or a haggered adult :)..was sunning itself before have a cooling bath in a stream...whilst walking through Central Park, saw many of these birds, so guess a pretty common...Mike :)
