An assortment of wetland birds

An assortment of wetland birds

I'd have called this "Lakescape" but that's Aloks title and would have got too confusing LOL.

This is where i really struggled, both with taking the picture with the bright sun reflecting off the water and trying to sort it in post-processing. Think the result is just about passable. I'm not sure if I'd have got a better result in AP... anyone?

There's mostly Mallard, some Black-headed Gulls and Greylags. Those with sharper eyes may pick out something else!

That truly is quite an assortment and what a beautiful and peaceful setting you've captured them in girl.

Nice scene Delia. Like Mali I use aperture priority but try not to shoot into a glare like this .

Lovely pondscape. LOL.
Compare your camera settings with my pic today.
Guess you can see that the possibly best exposure has priority. It does not mean I am best; of course not. This should simply show that feather detail has priority. Everything else goes to landscape photography. LOL.
You received my 11000 post !!!

You didn't see the wandering albatross in the background Delia. Tut Tut. You've done very well here Delia it's a lovely serene image with plenty going on. It's always difficult when you have bright light reflecting on the water. I just reduce the highlights some in Lightroom.

Super collection of birds in this photograph Delia, lovely scene!!! The airport was built on land in the Napier 1931 earthquake,

Lovely spot with lovely weather! Excellent scene to gaze upon ... Aaaaah |=)|

You can easily use f10 for such a capture. F5 is not necessary for such a picture. There is/was enough time to compare the results of different camera settings. Simply try out which result looks best.
