That early December snowfall hung around for a bit when it froze.

Don't Robins look great in the snow - just seems to be right for them somehow.

We were on a trip to Portugal a few years ago, and I have a robin pic. Since my books are all north America, I didn't know what it was, which is likely the reason I joined the forum in the first place. Such cute little birds.
 
Robins look great with or without the snow Delia, such photogenic subjects...Well captured lass.
 
The colours of its plumage stand out well against the snow backdrop. A lovely shot of a robin, Delia.
In answer to your question about the firecrest I spotted a few days ago, I did get a shot, but not a very good one, I'm afraid.
 
I love how he wrote his name and the date in the snow. Very clever. You've trained him well Delia.
