Anise seeds for the voice?

Anise seeds for the voice? (Melospiza melodia)

I gather licorice drops are good for the singing voice, so perhaps wild anise seeds do the same? I wouldn't really know, though. I hate licorice, so I've never tried it, even when I sang in a choir and at times had to sing in spite of a sore throat.

Three superb images ... never took Licorice myself ... but never tried to sing as well ...
Have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season ...

i also hate licorice, but over here they believe that Myrrh is good for the throat, as a matter of face they believe its good for everything.

nice idea to attract birds, today my basil seeds attracted the most gorgeous rare visitor, the Arabian Serin, its second visit to my garden.

thanks for the lovely shot.

Aaaah... perhaps that's why we don't have many song birds over here then.... we need to grow liquorice!!

How interesting that is Ann, I've not heard that one before.

Anyway you've a lovely picture to accompany that bit of culture, and I'm hoping Doux managed to get a picture of her Serin for us.

Lovely close-up of this songster. It does not look over enthusiastic about the anise either (lol). Great capture and picture!!!!
