Anna's Hummingbird tongue

Anna's Hummingbird tongue (Calypte anna)

Pretty sure this is a female Anna's sticking her tongue out at someone. She has her little eyelids closed. If the resolution holds up here (downsampled to 5MP), you can see her eyelashes.

Sony A7rIV, 400mm f/2.8, 1.4x TC shot at 1/2500, f/5, ISO 640. Cropped to 4992x4992 (1.6x crop) for effective focal length of 896mm.

It's lovely to see you posting again Marc, and starting with this beautiful hummer too!

Many thanks for showing her to us lad.

I hope you've kept well through these difficult months.

Goodness Marc, what a brilliant behavioural shot.

This is one stunning closeup of this little jewel and so beutifully detailed in this gorgeous capture.

Thank you all. I'm working my way through old backlog of shots from late 2019. New laptop, so editing photos is not such a chore any more.
