Anna's Hummingbird
Taken at the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline at about 4.5m.

Hummingbirds are tricky for me to photograph. Rarely is the sun at a good angle to show-off the iridescence of their feathers. Also not famous for holding still in the wild.

There's a lovely 3D effect in this image - how beautiful it is.

A superb picture this Calvin - many thanks.

You certainly caught the iridescence very well, Calvin. The composition is lovely.

Great pose, setting, and complementary BG colours, Kevin; you captured the iridescence too
