Another endemic (Gerygone igata)

Eventually, I tore myself away from the Tuis. Had to do so if I was to see more of the park (and more of its birds) before it closed. Next endemic I found was this Grey Gerygone (AKA Grey Warbler), posing nicely though only briefly, and also a sweet singer - a repeated short melody, a bit like the "squeeky wheel" song of the Dunnock.

I might have had a job leaving the Tuis, too Ann.

But this is a cracking wee bird too - night one lass.
