Another First! (Carduelis flammea)

A trio of shots from my most recent visit to Leighton Moss a couple of weeks back.

My first ever shot (and sight!) of a Redpoll, I believe it is a Common or Mealy Repoll a opposed to the newer Lesser Redpoll. Was so pleased to see these as I've wanted to for such a long time.
Habitat
Reedbed and woodland
Location
Leighton Moss RSPB
Date taken
Jan 09
Scientific name
Carduelis flammea
Equipment used
Canon 40 D + 100-400mm L IS USM

I love shots like this Adam. Catching them during a natural dinner. Lovely!
