Another Hellish first

Another Hellish first (Phylloscopus collybita)

This time my very first picture of a Chiffchaff believe it or not!!!

I've heard them for years, of course, but never managed to find one in the open in order to get a picture.

Even this one wasn't too easy and I had to get confirmation in the ID forum. What made it harder, was that there was a Willow Warbler calling in the same tree - I think Ann got that one!

We'd made our way out of the forest along the shoreline and got into the grounds of a cabin (fortunately the owners didn't appear to be at home).

I do hear Chiffy's here, but very, very rarely; and then they're usually on the far side of the river. Just once there was one in the tree in the gardens here. I've heard them on less than 10 occasions here. More often on the coast.

A beauty of a detailed shot, setting and lighting Delia, lovely job and many tfs.

I find them hard to id when they fall silent Delia. A wonderful bright capture you have of this Chiffchaff out in the open, well done.
