Another Heron (Ardea cinerea)

Not good enough to dedicate to Tilly as it was rather distant but I thought it was about time I had a shot of a 'Harnser' in my Gallery. I still maintain that is the correct spelling. As Harry Hill would say: "Hanser or Harnser. There's only one way to decide ... Fight!" Ron

Marshes

Minsmere, Suffolk

17/8/08

Ardea cinerea

Grumpy looking like the one I posted yesterday...............it's the weather!
As to hanser or harnser I haven't a clue, I wasn't aware of either until Ian found out for me:-O I'll await the definitive answer :D

Well I wont fight ya for it Ron, you s Harnser, we say Hanser, who cares? Nice to get a Hanser in your gallery, ha! ha!

Perhaps in times of disagreement such as this, we should all behave like adults and come to a compromise!....I know of an alternative name for the bird that would put an end to this bickering........Shitepoke.

Ian,shame on you, this handsome bird deserves a much nicer name than your suggestion!!!.
Good shot,albiet a little "noisy".
