'Another New Bird!..... (Neophema chrysostoma)

Hi all, had to share this 'newbie' found at Mt Macedon, Vic. My friend Steve had reported to Birdline that he had seen two Blue_Winged Parrots there and as it is only 40ks away Pete and I decided to have a look.....I have photographed a male of this species a lot of times when I had visited Serendip Sanctuary, Lara but to get a chance to see them in the wild was a dream...We got there around noon and saw the Crescent Honeyeater again... when I walked into the forest I saw a bird fly off into a tree near the track and then another, hurried along and couldn't believe that I had found them..got a couple of shots and they flew away above the tree tops...damn!...anyway decided to continue around to the other side and then doubled back...Voila!.... not two but six males all foraging on what looked like a wattle bush...I crept in closer and they didn't seem to mind....got heaps of shots (some good, some bad)..according to my camera I was with them for 35mins!......As I stepped away I spotted a Grey_Shrike Thrush with this huge spider in its mouth..took two gulps to get it down ..ugh! On to my next post...do hope you all like this one!
