Anticipation
This sweet juvenile Ruby-throated Hummingbird was a visitor to my garden last September. We had quite a few here focused on feeding to get ready for their long migration. The Salvias like in this photo were very popular feeding stations for these lovely and feisty birds. Can't wait for their return!

Wonderful mono shot Deanne, you have my vote, Good Luck!

It is the best whether you win or not!!!
In my my opinion:t:

WOW Deanne my friend , i have no idea how i missed this before, it is stunning.

and Ove say that i like extremes because i changed the bee-eater shot to monochrome, wonder what he think of that.

when i was younger, the day of film photography i use to mostly high ASA B&W films and concentrate on patterns on my subjects. and that is what is the beauty of monochrome and you proved it here in a superb way.

A superb image . Beautiful composition. Wonderful detail:I like the claws and the spots on the throat as well as the light in its eye.

Almost missed this, Deanne. In fact I did vote another pic before I noticed your anticipation. Your pic is the "one" though. Im sure youll win even without my vote.. ;) Love this!
