Any ideas as what is .... (Mimus polyglottos)

just below the eye of this Mocker. There was a pair in the pear tree and this one has something just below the right eye. Don't know if it is a tick or some growth. Anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance.

I thought it was a Mockingbird in tears but I'm afraid it is not something as "romantic" as that! :-C

Sorry, I can't help, Donny, but makes an interesting subject and perspective for a Mockingbird head!!! :t: :t: :t:

A tick of sorts Donny? That's usually where I find most ticks on the birds for some reason. Right below the eye region.

If it was in this country, I'd say tick. It looks like the back end of a tick, almost fully engorged. Hopefully it will soon drop off and the bird will recover.

Yes, I think its a tick too, Donny, matter of fact, I took a pic of a Kinglet with one below the eye
