Here we have the male of this species of Orbweb spider.
Having Identified this species I found that we had quite a few of these spiders spreading from the roadside verge where I where I found the female with more over the hedge into the field beyond and down to the stream bordering the field. There were none on the opposite side of the road from the female or in any of the surrounding fields either so a very localised population.
There were other species of orbweb spiders in evidence and I even found a male of the species A.diadematus attempting a liaison with a female of the uncommon species here !
