Arctocephalus australis
Cabo Polonio National Park, located in the department of Rocha, Uruguay, is a feeding and resting place for two species of otarids. Arctocephalus australis and Otaria flavescens. Formerly exploited as a resource for their skins and fat, today they are priority species for conservation.
