At long, long last
I get a picture of a Jay. My usual view of them is a disappearing white rump into the trees. This is the first picture I've taken of one in Scotland and here he was at the new feeding station we set up at the beginning of winter last year.

We were sitting in the car having lunch when I caught a movement out of the corner of my eye. I couldn't believe it.... jogged Ken's arm as he was putting a sandwich in his gob and hissed where's the camera... "why?" "Shush... give it to me!"

Very hurriedly I got this out of focus image as I was so desperate to record his visit. Just in time as he was off immediately afterwards!

I shouldn't have worried... he's been visiting regularly ever since and I've now got better pictures which I'll show you another day.
