At the feeder 1 (Accipiter nisus)

A new sparrowhawk in the garden. Seems like a young male. Swooped in, missed everybody, and sat for about 40 mins on the coconut feeder. Everybody disappeared, except the magpies of course, who supervised his activity.

LOL he looks a bit miffed, doesn't he Ian!!!

I've only very occasionally seen one (or sensed one rather) here, when all the birds have suddenly frozen or flown into the hedge.

You've a super picture of this guy - very well done lad.
