The record of this bird was made in the "Mata Atlantica" region.
In this region is where the presence of "Zenaida auriculata" occurs.
By this I believe that it does not belong to some "sub species".
Searching vi that has 11 more "sub species" in other
regions of South America.
My knowledge of ornithology is few.
