Baby Yellow-billed Cuckoo

A photo of a baby Cuckoo that had fallen from the nest. Mom was near by and fed the little one but couldn't help it back into the nest. I didn't want to touch it so I stacked twigs and laid branches up to a branch near the nest. The little bird actually hopped up on the branches and made it's way back to the branch of the tree near the nest. I didn't see it again so hope it made it to the nest. The reason I tried to help is because we have too many predators around and I was afraid it would get eaten. Hope you enjoy. :)

I just wanted to add that I had never seen a baby bird just freeze up before when someone was around. When I was there with it you couldn't even see it's eye blink..motionless. I leave and look back it is moving around. I come back and it is again totally still, amazing.
